have agreed a club record transfer fee of €50m for Real Madrid and
Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil. The 24-year-old has signed a five-year
contract and will become Arsenal's highest-paid player, with wages of

three years ago for a fee believed to be about €14.5m and has played 155

United striker Wayne Rooney has suffered a head injury during training
and is doubtful for Premier League clash with bitter rivals Liverpool,
according to British media reports. Rooney suffered a deep gash in his
forehead during a collision with a teammate and needed stitches. The
injury could also see the 27-year-old striker miss England's upcoming
World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.
